People often think hand therapy is painful – which is why they wait until “it gets better”.
Recently, one of our clients came in after breaking a bone in her hand. She had one of those ER casts with the bandage wrap. It was huge – covered her fingers, hand, and wrist.
She came in for her first visit to our Miami hand therapy clinic – skeptical and worried about the worst possible situation. That she would be in worse pain when leaving.
I was able to assure her based on her fracture, that what we needed to do was create a custom fitted orthosis (i.e. splint) that will fit like a glove and actually help her be in less pain and have more movement and ability to use her hand.
She told me she had heard terrible things about hand therapy and how painful it was even though she herself had never been through it. Which CAN be true if you go to typical mill clinics where you are sitting around with 3-4 other people wasting time and leaving more painful.

Here at Hands-on Therapy Services – hand therapy DOESN’T have to hurt!
We will help you make decisions on when you should get started, how often you need to come based on your injury and goals, and help you as much as you need to get the best possible results.
Yes….our client left HAPPIER than when she came in, her hand light, free to type and drive, and she even had less pain.
If you had a hand injury or surgery – give us a call to find out what’s possible for you.
