If you are someone who’s had some hand and shoulder problems for months, even years…
I want to know…
are you feeling uncertain if therapy can actually help you get rid of pain so you can be more active?
Want to be more active for yourself, for your family, and just enjoy the little things in life?
Well, I do hear this all the time from people who call us and even people I run into and talk to on a daily basis.
Here’s one of the most common statements that I hear.
I went somewhere and it didn’t really help.
Had a bad experience? OR a not so great one? Ever go shopping for a trustworthy car mechanic?
Find a physical/occupational therapist is no different.
Have you been to a clinic where the staff barely look up from what they are doing to have a conversation with you? Have you been somewhere and you are sitting there with 4-5 other people waiting for your turn for some time and attention, or not getting the results that you want?
If you are leaving those places lacking the urge to go back….no wonder it didn’t help.
Don’t you want to come into a pleasant environment where people seem to care about how you are feeling? Don’t you want to find a place that will actually give you all the time and attention that you want and will actually talk to you about how they can solve your particular problem and develop an action plan of what that can look like? I know it may sound crazy, but places like this exist! Hands-On Therapy Services is one of those places. In these difficult times, we are here to help. Telehealth and online sessions are available!
Case of a woman who was in pain and didn’t get the right help
I recently helped a young woman with elbow problems. She had this persistent pain that would come when she worked playing her musical instrument. She actually tried therapy somewhere else and she didn’t have a bad experience with it. She said the therapist was perfectly nice but didn’t seem to pay attention to what she needed. And it just didn’t get rid of the problem completely and worried her because she uses her arms for her work and if she couldn’t work, it wasn’t just money, it was her career. The more she played, the more it came back.
What I loved was she kept looking for a different solution and found us online! From our website she was able to request to speak with the specialist to get a better understanding of who we can help. Then we invited her for our Discovery Visit before booking any paid session.
Having already gone somewhere else or tried other things already saved us time so that we can work that much better to finding a solution to her problem. That was great and what gave us really fast results from day one. We were able to really dig in based on what she was doing before, what worked, what didn’t, to create a different plan of action for her. To create a plan also that she can continue on her own, once we were able to solve the problem 100%.
So, if you have tried something, tried other therapy clinics, and it didn’t solve your problem 100%, it’s still possible and it’s about finding a place that will ask you the right series of questions to find the best solution for you.
